Description of Responsibilities:
 The Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Development is responsible for the planning and implementation of an integrated approach to development and alumni-relations programs, maximizing support for the school and Foundation. This position will work closely with the President and will serve as chief development officer for, and manager of, the school's alumni affairs and development program with responsibility for securing private philanthropic support from the highest level of giving. With the President, senior members of the development team, and in collaboration with the Development Committee of the Foundation set campaign and annual fund raising goals for the school and promote the school to external constituencies. This position includes responsibility for annual fund, major gifts and gift planning, endowment, capital campaigns, and alumni and constituent relations efforts, stewardship, and advancement services including events and volunteer management and strategies related to strategic communication to all constituents. The Executive Director will serve as a major gift officer for top prospective donors.

 Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
Experience/Personal Qualifications: 
  • Experience with, and responsibility for, comprehensive campaigns
  • Proven track record of successful solicitation at the major and principal gift level
  • Thorough knowledge of the fund raising process with proven fund raising abilities; focused and goal oriented.
  • Record of strong strategic thinking, program assessment abilities especially as it pertains to campaigns, annual giving, planned giving, corporate and foundation giving, and alumni relations.
  • Sound leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead, supervise, inspire and mentor the advancement team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, detail oriented.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Proficient skills and knowledge of database products, Microsoft Word, Access and Excel.
  • Experience with Blackbaud preferred
