COVID-19 Update

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM AFPGV PRESIDENT, JILLIAN CARTER

Dear AFPGV Family,

Our 2020 Regional Conference is quickly approaching and we have an exciting lineup of workshops ready to go!

Like you, AFPGV has been monitoring the situation involving COVID-19, the coronavirus. Our top priority is your health and safety and we are taking the following steps:

  1. The Monroe County Health Department has set up a Coronavirus Information Page to make sure the residents of Monroe County have the most up-to-date and comprehensive information possible.
  2. We continue to monitor announcements and updates from the U.S. Department of Labor and the Centers for Disease Control and will take our guidance from them and other key agencies.
  3. At AFPGV Regional Conference, we will institute the following policies and procedures:
    • We are encouraging participants to make our conference a “handshake-free” meeting.
    • We will be providing hand sanitizers and recommending hand washing as much as possible.
    • We are asking attendees to stay home if you have traveled outside of the country within the last 30 days and if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
      • Fever and/or chills;
      • Cough;
      • Shortness of breath;
      • Sore throat;
      • Runny or stuffy nose;
      • Muscle or body aches

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our chapter administrator, Isha Torres, at [email protected] or 585.586.7810. Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you at our 2020 Regional Conference!

Sincerely,

Jillian Carter
