Description of Responsibilities:
 Summary: Responsible for all fundraising initiatives and activities of Literacy Volunteers of Rochester, Inc., providing leadership and management of agency development/fundraising activities and securing private and public funding for LVR mission-driven initiatives. AFP Membership Dues:
 Professional membership dues in AFP paid by organization

Retirement Plan: 403 b - no matching contribution 

Education:
 Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications (Sales or Marketing) or related field.
Experience/Personal Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of non-profit management development experience with a proven track record. Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) a plus.
  • Foundation relationship and grant writing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of disciplines both in and outside of the organization and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects, organize data collection and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
