Description of Responsibilities: Ideal candidate will embrace our core values of compassion, empowerment, collaboration, innovation and impact to lead the organization into the future. Candidate will be a skilled non-profit executive with an exemplary track record in capacity building who will champion the organization's growth and impact as we strive to address and prevent intimate partner violence (IPV) and its correlates in our community and beyond. The organization is ideally positioned for growth with a portfolio of research validated, trauma-informed programs, as well as a highly skilled clinical team, that addresses IPV across the four domains of public health (as promulgated by the CDC): individual, relationship, community and society. During the first year as the new leader of RESOLVE it will be necessary to focus on continuity of operations and provide uninterrupted service to our clients and financial stability.

About RESOLVE: RESOLVE, a privately funded, 501c3 nonprofit organization, has been empowering people and communities to break the cycle of domestic violence since 1998. We develop and deliver innovative programs, services and products that enable every person to thrive in violence free lives and realize their full potential. In the last decade, we have earned an outstanding reputation among our colleagues in law enforcement, mental/behavioral health and child welfare for delivering superior services to violence involved families. We are also lauded for our outreach and education initiatives that strive to shift the community response paradigm to address survivors and their children as resilient and empowered instead of powerless and dependent. In 2016, RESOLVE was named Agency of the Year by the Genesee Valley Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. The organization is 100% privately funded and currently serves constituents spanning the six county greater Rochester Metro area.

Job Responsibilities & Authority:

  • Funds Development and Financial Stability: Working in cooperation with the Board Funds Development and Finance Committees, develop and implement fundraising and revenue control strategies that will enhance RESOLVE's fiscal viability, satisfy financial obligations and allow expansion and replication of services.
  • Governance, Policies and Strategic Positioning: Work cooperatively with the Board on governance, policy, strategic and succession planning; implement and operationalize strategic plan; and provide necessary oversight and administration of programs/services (including Board reporting).
  • Human Resources: Maintain a positive and healthy workplace environment and culture that attracts, retains and engages top quality people, both professional and governing volunteers.
  • Services, Advocacy and Representation: Develop and implement mission-based programs and services; participate in community planning initiatives, evaluation and research as appropriate; exercise advocacy and influence in accordance with strategy and serve as primary spokesperson for RESOLVE.
  • Ethical Conduct: Maintain and promote the highest level of ethical conduct

Education: A bachelor's degree or proven equivalent work experience
Experience/Personal Qualifications: 

  • Five or more years senior nonprofit leadership experience.
  • A history of successful capacity building in the nonprofit sector through revenue growth, collaborative partnerships and volunteer engagement.
  • Experience leading multi-faceted fund development programs; with outstanding donor relations skills and an established network of donors
  • Transparent high integrity and visionary leadership; strategic thinker with ability to envision, convey and implement the organization¿s strategic future with staff, board members, volunteers, donors and the overall community.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting.
  • Experience and skill working with a Board of Directors.
  • Strong work ethic, written and oral communication skills; high energy
