Description of Responsibilities:
Delphi Rise is enthusiastic about initiating a targeted effort towards development and is thrilled about this new organizational role. We are seeking a dynamic, mission-oriented individual to spearhead our journey towards a more robust fundraising future! This individual will engage in the following activities:

  • Support the implementation of comprehensive fund development strategies aligned with the organization's mission, vision, values, and goals.
  • Work closely with the President and CEO to establish fundraising targets and priorities.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and foundation representatives.
  • Introduce innovative approaches to increase donor database and funds raised.
  • Support the creation of personalized cultivation and solicitation plans for key donors.
  • Maintain a donor database and lead communication efforts with current and prospective donors.
  • Acknowledge all donations in a timely fashion; track donor stewardship contacts and ensure adherence to plan for each donor level. Support our initial and ongoing annual development plan and appeal.
  • Develop and manage the fund development budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Monitor and report on fundraising performance against budget.
  • In partnership with the President and CEO, oversee the organization's philanthropic grant-seeking efforts, including research, proposal development, and reporting.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism at external events and meetings.
  • Coordinate external mailing and online outreach for appeals.
  • Prepare solicitation plans, proposals, and other materials to support this process.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree required.
 
Experience/Personal Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have experience with project management; an experiential knowledge of the Greater Rochester philanthropic landscape is required. Key attributes include excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage stakeholders across a multitude of socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures and interests; passion for the organization's mission around substance use treatment and supports; strong attention to detail; flexibility and agility.
