Nominations Are Now Being Accepted for
2020 National Philanthropy Day!

ROCHESTER, N.Y.— The Genesee Valley Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFPGV) has opened nominations for the 2020 National Philanthropy Day. The nomination period gives our community a chance to focus on the positive impact local philanthropists have made throughout our community.

Kristin Cook and Julie Murawski, co-chairs of this year’s event state: “We are excited to begin the search for our next class of honorees and call upon the community for help identifying philanthropic groups, corporations, foundations, youth and families. Please take a moment to think about people who give their time, talent and treasures to help others and fill out a nomination. This is the perfect opportunity to recognize and thank them for their efforts.”

This year, we are accepting nominations online at www.afpgv.org/npd-nomination for nine categories:

  • Outstanding Philanthropist
  • Burton S. August, Sr. Award for Community Leadership
  • Robert A. Clinger Outstanding Fundraising Professional
  • Outstanding Young People in Philanthropy - Individual
  • Outstanding Young People in Philanthropy - Group
  • Outstanding Corporation
  • Outstanding Small Business
  • Outstanding Foundation
  • Multi-Generational Award

The National Philanthropy Day luncheon is planned for November 6 from 11:30 AM–1:30 PM at the Joseph A. Floreano Riverside Convention Center.
